Brookside School Locker Doors
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, 20,000 SF

For fire code reasons, hallway lockers in this school needed to be made of steel. The children using these lockers are at the sensitive age of leaving the teachers side to develop their independence. Sending them to standardized lockers with number 23, 24, 25, and so on, was not in synch with their development level. Using the architect’s original plan for the building, we carved hieroglyphs into the steel. As a whole, the plan is still evident.
