The client asked that we insert a shower into this historic Back Bay residence.  The “shower” quickly grew into a full two story reconsideration of the entire place.  New fireplaces were added; the new bamboo living room floor cascaded down the steps to form a second bedroom.  Hand crafted cabinets and stair rail were delicately inserted throughout, and the shower grew into a lantern.
