Onset Fire Station
This fire station is a five bay rive through building that replaces a facility that is some 50 years old. Here we bring a new level of health and safety for the fire fighters by preparing a facility with separate hot zones, transition zones, and cool zones. A combined training and eating area are only one of the built in efficiencies that allowed us to keep construction and operational costs down and save the town money in the long run. Their original architect told them it would cost over $10 mil to build this house, but they only had $6.4 in funding. We are delivering it on schedule and on budget for $6.2 mil. This is one of many cost saving fire station projects our practice has developed, and we continue to use careful design and bidding strategies to bring these facilities in on or below budget.
